My Journey Through Art, Nature, and Heart: A Year of Growth and Feeling

The past year has been nothing short of a whirlwind of emotions, challenges, and unexpected beauty. From the first blog I wrote in October 2024 to today, I’ve been on a journey that isn’t just about photography or art—it’s about survival, hope, and the quiet moments that remind me why life is worth cherishing. In this post, I want to share everything I’ve been through: the struggles, the small victories, the moments of awe in nature, the lessons I’ve learned, and the deep, personal growth I’ve experienced. This is my heart laid bare, my story told through the lens of both life and art.

Discovering My Voice Through Nature

When I first began sharing my photography, I thought it was just about capturing light, color, and movement. But over time, I realized it was so much more. Every fog-filled morning, every golden sunset, every shy animal I encountered became a mirror to my soul. Nature taught me to feel deeply—to notice the quiet pulse of the world when everything inside me feels noisy and chaotic. Each blog post was my attempt to share that feeling, to invite others into the stillness that brought me peace. Photography became my language when words weren’t enough, and through it, I began to discover who I truly am.

Facing Life’s Challenges With Courage

This year also taught me that growth isn’t possible without struggle. Living with PNES, anxiety, depression, and back issues has tested me in ways that often feel invisible to the outside world. Some days, just getting through the day feels like climbing a mountain, yet I still push forward because creativity keeps me alive. Writing about my challenges wasn’t easy—but being honest about the fear, frustration, and exhaustion became liberating. Sharing those vulnerabilities allowed me to connect with others who may feel alone in their struggles and reminded me that even in pain, there is the potential for beauty, for light, for resilience.

The Heart Behind My Work

Each photo, sticker, and print I create carries more than colors or shapes—it carries my heart, my story, and the raw emotion of my experiences. Every time someone visits my RedBubble shop, likes a piece, or makes a purchase, it’s more than support—it’s a lifeline. It tells me, you matter, your story matters, your voice matters. That connection fills me with hope, especially on the days when my energy feels spent or my body feels like it’s betraying me. People may see a photograph of a misty forest or a deer in the sunlight—but what they’re holding is a piece of my heart, a fragment of my story, and the emotions that shaped it.

Learning and Growing Through the Entrepreneur Workshop

Another pivotal moment in my journey came when I participated in an Entrepreneur Workshop. At first, I wasn’t sure what to expect—I was nervous about sharing my work, my goals, and my struggles in front of others. But the experience turned out to be transformative. I felt seen, inspired, and understood.

It reminded me that my creative work is not just about me—it’s about connecting, learning, and growing in community. It gave me the confidence to embrace my mission with clarity: to share the beauty I capture, to honor wildlife and nature, and to create art that resonates deeply with others. That workshop reaffirmed that even when life is challenging, support, mentorship, and belief in your vision can spark hope and action in ways you never imagined.

Art With a Purpose

As my journey unfolded, I realized that my work could be more than personal—it could be a call to care. Writing about the importance of preserving national parks, creating safe wildlife crossings, and inspiring environmental stewardship made me feel a sense of purpose beyond myself. My photography and AI art aren’t just beautiful—they are a way to make people pause, reflect, and feel. They are a bridge connecting emotion, awareness, and action. Every time someone connects with my work, I feel a spark of shared humanity and a reminder that our world, though fragile, is still worth fighting for.

Moments That Shape the Soul

Some of my most powerful experiences weren’t just about landscapes or wildlife—they were about the people beside me. My mom, who drives me to impossible places, who sees what I see, who helps me breathe when life feels too heavy—she has been the quiet heartbeat of my journey.

One of the most unforgettable moments came on Skyline Drive last July. As we drove through the winding Blue Ridge Mountains, the fog hugged the trees, the air smelled of moss and rain, and the world felt softened and hushed. And then the sky opened to a sunset—red, orange, pink, and violet colors blending and shifting through the fog, a fire of emotion spilling across the valleys.

And there, a family of deer stepped into view. One looked directly at me, and for a heartbeat, everything else—worries, stress, seizures, exhaustion—vanished. There was only me, the deer, the mist, the colors of the sky, and the quiet presence of my mom beside me. That sunset, that fog, that deer, that connection—they weren’t just moments to photograph—they were moments that held my heart, reminded me of love, and showed me the beauty of simply being alive.

Looking Back With Gratitude, Forward With Hope

From October 2024 until now, I’ve grown in ways I never imagined. I’ve learned to embrace vulnerability, to trust in the process, to honor my emotions, and to keep creating even when the world feels heavy. My journey has been filled with small victories, quiet lessons, and moments of pure wonder that remind me why I keep going.

Through art, through nature, the Entrepreneur Workshop, and the people who support me, I’ve discovered resilience, hope, and the power of heartfelt connection. I carry all of this forward—the struggles that shaped me, the beauty that healed me, the people who lift me, and the mission to share it all with the world.

Thank you for being part of my journey, for seeing the heart behind my work, and for believing in the power of creativity, emotion, and hope. Together, we can continue to find light, preserve beauty, and honor the wild places and feelings that make life worth living.

With all my heart,
